However we weren’t going to let that dampened our spirits and decide to get some culture by visiting an aboriginal cave painting.
From what we’ve read this painting is of a man and two dingo’s. This is one of the most important aboriginal rock art sites in the region this site depicts Bunjil, the traditional creator of the land, and his two dingoes. Bunjil was known as a good spirit who created things as they are today and gave the tribes their law and culture.
Whilst walking around the cave and surrounding landscape we decided to make a pit stop before heading off to our next destination. Much to our amazement we found a queue outside;………. a wallaby !!!!. Unfortunately we had left the camera in the car and had to dash back to grab it. On our return the Wallaby had run into the bush, but before it hop off, we managed to keep a quick shot
Our next stop was the Brambuk National Park and cultural centre, to find out about the local aboriginal communities and how they lived. We also went on a walk around the Fyans Creek Loop, it must of been a day for seeing Kangaroos and Wallaby's .
Finally we went on a diving tour around the local area,(and see more Kangaroos) before heading back to base for some din dins.
BTW…. I found a creek that belongs to me,
Jimmaaaayyyyy!!!!!!
